3 coolant temp switches

I bought a coolant temp switch for the drivers side head a week ago because I am going to be changing the heads and want to put all new stuffs in while its all apart. Low and behold, I discover there is also a switch screwed into the passenger side head with 2 prongs. Well, after reading radiator fan post, I conclude that this switch is for the rad. fan, fair enough. I start pulling the AC and AIR pump of to beginning the cam and heads change, and discover ANOTHER temp switch in the intake right next to the water outlet!! So I dig out an old Haynes manual for Caprices and lookup the '81 Caprice CCC system and find out that one of the coolant temp sensor wires right into the ECM.

So which one runs my guage? I am assuming that it will be the one on the drivers side just like back in the 60's. And I gotta leave the electric fan one plugged in. Its been tuggin' at my heart to just "forget" about the ECM and get me a new distributor and carb, but its a shame to junk the stuff with only 70K.

So one of the switches has got to go, question is, which one?

(what year?) Switch in the pass. head is for the T.C.S. , driver side is the temp. on mid 70S The one in the front (80s) is probably the coolant sensor for cold fast idle with F.I.

its an '81, TCS does that control the distributor? I bet the one in the intake is the one for the computer. Which means that I probably have another switch on the radiator for the fan.
