73 A/C air flow

I have read many post about this. Poor air flow. I did the fan up grades and had min. improvement. Has anyone really gone through the hearter-A/C box and found the restriction. I am going to but thought I'd get ideas first.

When I installed my factory ac, I didn't notice any areas where there were restrictions that could be removed. You might check to see if the heater core or evaporator core need to be cleaned. That does require a good amount of disassembly however. What fan upgrade did you do?

There is a blower motor that fits that spins faster. I read about it on an other sight and then some say the c-4. I could find the napa number if you really want to know. Plus you use a wider fan. To do this you need to make a 3/4 inch spacer to mount the fan to the box. It was better but no cigar.

Thanks for the info. I remember reading about it now a few years back. Shoot me the part number you used when you get a chance. And what year Corvette it comes from if you know. I think Chevrolet underestimated the heat load in a Corvette because the compressor has a smaller displacement then the passenger car compressor does. I guess you could always try putting another compressor on it to see if that helps. When I put mine back together, I'm going to use a 74 low pressure hose assembly in order to get the Schrader valve up where it's more accessible.
