78 pace car vin

I have a 1978 pace car and the vin on the tag on the door is faded out. Does anyone have a vin on the left side of the windshield? My windshield covers the spot where older cars had a vin.-thx-chuck

Welcome to the forum. I thought the tags were embossed so I wasn't sure what you meant by faded out.
