Free Floating wrist pins VS. Pressed wrist pins
 
I was wondering what the advantages and disadvantages are of Free Floating wrist pinsvs.Pressed wrist pins

I've read/heard that floating pins have less friction than pressed pins. The downside used to be retainer failure but I believe the new retainers are much better.

My opinion from a street car perspective is that the little gain achieved is probably not worth the risk and cost.

Floating pins definately offer less friction and free up the little end of the rod. If you go with floating pins and do not want the worry of keepers or spiral locks you may want to use teflon buttons. There is no chance of the buttons coming out and destroying the cylinder wall.

Seems like I also heard that Spiral Locks were much better than regular retainer rings.
