;).With proper mix and replacement intervals on a PH or 'green' coolant you will not experience corrosion, rust and-or gel, with aluminium. All antifreeze are equiped with anti-rust, corosion and gel inhibitors butthe additivesdo wear out, that is why it is recomended bymany auto manufactures to replace you coolantevery one year or 15,000 miles some are every two yearsor 24,000 but I believe this to be longer that the additives will last under normal or (severe)driving conditions.;)

My '98 Chevy truck still has the original pink coolant, overflow bottle level changes with temperature so I know it's mixing with the rest of the system, haven't had any issues with the cooling system, it's clean, no lumps, and I've added only a quart in five years with 98000 miles. Just my two cents.

Another reason I'm stayin' "green" so to speak, is that I buy all my oils and coolants in bulk. 5 gal. oil buckets, and cases of anti-freeze.
Every body eats the same, around here. :D

All I know is you can find a bunch of Caddy sts with blown head gaskets. and a lot of em have green in em. If the car came green, don't switch, stay green. But, still say, with a lot of aluminum, the dex-cool is the way to go. Cadyy heads sure arent' blowing nearly as much on it. But, i am a sucker for the new stuff as well. Kind of like synthetic oils. everything should have Synthetic oils. even my lawnmower gets mobil 1 (after the vette is doen with it)

Also, the dex cool works with water. They sell it in pre mixed 50/50 bottles just like the green.
