Hows your gas mileage?
 

I have a stock 74 T-Top with a 350 base engine, Turbo 400 auto and stock rear gears, I get 14 miles to the gallon, hows your car do?

Seriously, normal hiway speeds, about the same, maybe low as 12. I have 3.07:1 rear gears, but the M-22 seams to be geared low.

Thanks Starship, I'm planing a ride to the mountains in north west NC, so I'll just plan on 5 tanks of fuel.

Drove my 78 approx 450 miles this weekend, 10/14/06, doing 78-80mph and got 16.9mpg Pete

I have a 73 convertable with a small block and a hurst four speed and get about 15 miles per gallon; rides like a dream.

Hi guys and girls, thanks for the info, gas here in NC is back down to about $2.30 a gallon, so thats like$40 bucks a fill up, last year at $3.40 a gallon that hurt. Anyway I was courious so thanks for the replies.PG

Do you want upwind or down wind per gal. PG ? Last time I checked on my 68 with manual and 327 was about 30 years ago. Was about 11 in town and 15 on highway. Get alot of complements on car though when spending alot of time at gas stations!! Stay off highways because I do not want to end up being put back together with plastic glue with my oldie!

Hi drdenny, I was just courious, if every car gets the same the same milage, then thats just the way it is, I as hopeing for someone to tell to do something to help to improve it. Thanks for the reply.PG
