LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP!

I don't have much room in my driveway so I need to play musical cars when I want to take my Vet out.
Yesterday after parking my Vet I started to back my Subaru Outback in position and I felt a bump like running over a log and at the same time I heard a horrific howl /screech.
Needless to say I crapped my shorts because I knew I just ran over my Son's Yellow Lab.
To make a long story short by some miracle the dog is fine except for the black tire track on his yellow fur.
I learned my lesson, I am getting out of and looking twice before I backup again.

If ya have cats, bang your hand on the hood before starting the car. We lost a cat, they like sleeping in a warm place under the hood. But in hot weather, it's nice and cool under there, especially around the rad and shroud. [&o]
Glad your Lab is O. K. :)

Thanks for the info on cats, I will keep that in mind.
Also, wanted to mention to you a friend of mine just had his Vet blasted with bakingsoda. You need to pull the glass outand for approx $700 your Vet comes back with no paint on it. This stuff is so gentle you can leave the chrome on the car. This is 100 times better then using stripper etc.

Soda blasting is the most state of the art media to remove paint from body panels. It doesn't heat like sand and glass beads do so there is no panel distortion. It does leave a film that has to be washed off prior to paint prep. A complete portable system with soda blaster outfit and sand blaster, generator and trailerruns about $35,000.00. A friend of mine owns a body shop, sand and soda blasting operation and powder coating facility. If you are looking to find the flaws in a body and hidden bubba work, this process will find it.

Shows how out of the loop I am, on blasting. I have my own, don't need to use it very often.
I've heard, not used, walnut or almond shells. Do ya know?
I like this soda idea! :)

Man.....If that works well, i'll have to checkit out. No bigger pain in the ass than stripping a vette by hand.
I just don't trust ANY kind of media blasting. The soda sems like there is no way it could hurt the panels, it's just not hard enough. The only worry I would have is the pressure you would have to run to make it strip paint. Do you know the pressure that it's running at?

Anything harder than the paint is harder than the fiberglass resin. Be careful. Test, test and test again....No better insurance than experience!
