Loss of power at 2500RPM

I just bought a 1972 C3 that has 17k miles on it. Obviously it's been setting with little or no driving. I've replaced a bunch of seals gaskets, replaced the plugs, and tweaked the carburetor a bit. It runs pretty well until you accelerate to anywhere between 2500 and 3500 RPM. Once you hit 3500 and stay in it runs out pretty good. In between 2500 and 3500 RPM it feels like its running on 6 or 7 cylinders, a real dog with no power. I can't understand what's so magical about that 2500 to 3500 RPM window. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

I would rebuild the carburetor. Sounds like the accelerator pump isn't functioning properly. Recommend getting stuff to do the job here.
Probably wouldn't hurt to replace the plug wires, coil, and condenser.

Carb rebuild is definitely in order here and I think I'll heed your advice on the wires, coil, and condenser. I was teet driving it yesterday and the upper radiator hose blew off the radiator connection. There was no overheating prior so I'm guessing its a hose. The fun never ends. Thanks for your input.
