Me Again
Hello I have a vibration @ 30-70 MPH I thought it was possibly the cab sitting on the pumpkin or something of that nature,..but i just changed the rear spring to a composite and its still there. Its not indicative to something that is detrimental to the vehicle since I have driven it about 2000 miles with no change in the sound or perfomance. I had the pumpkin checked whenI had the oil changed ,..no problems with the look of the oil. it seems like it could be bearings but I waould assume that they would get worse?
Also I Have a lot of play in my shifter(auto about 1.5") and steering wheel(left to right about 2.0") is there easy fixes for these malities? Any ideas?? |
RE: Me Again
Check to see if you have lost any wheel balancing weights.
Hows your tire wear? |
RE: Me Again
could be the tire weights like Starship said or could be drive shaft weights or u joints. or even a bad tire for that matter. I just put new tires on one of my old cars and the left front was seperated and caused a horrible vibration when not accelorating. made short work of the wheel bearings. wishing you luck.

RE: Me Again
Also check steering componants, tie rod ends, etc.

RE: Me Again
Hey thanks for the replies,..it could be the u-joints or weights,..the tires look pretty new,.but it does'nt shake the steering wheel like tires that need balancing either.

RE: Me Again
Ya, check your u-joints. Also see ifthe yokes on the trany and diff have any play.
