Default No electrical power

Brought the 73 convertible (manual) home the other day. Let someone else drive it and they didn't know how to take the key out. Got the key out - press in clutch, put car in reverse, turn key. Now Imhave no power at all. The battery is fine, but I'm not getting any power to any system. I'm looking for recommendation on where to start looking.

Welcome to the forum.

I'd start looking at the actual ignition switch which is located on the steering column near the firewall. Maybe the linkage was affected by the abnormal key removal procedure. If the linkage isn't moving when you turn turn the key, then your problem lies in the area of the ignition lock and will require removal of the steering wheel. A Factory Service Manual would be very helpful.

This assumes that you are getting no starter or accessory power w/ the key in.
