Non vette, but important question.

As you guys know I'm an active duty air force member and I'm currently working in support of the global war on terror. Where I work has a very limited database of car makes and models that we can use to identify a vehicle.

IE: One of our soldiers might be out patroling and someone could run up and tell him hey I saw this guy you guys were talking about on the news. He was in a red car.

What I'm trying to find is essentially a database of every car/truck/van made from 1970-present. That way if someone tells us "Hey I saw this guy",maybe one of our soldiers can ask him a few more details and relay that information to us so that we could check and maybe save some lives by catching someone.

This may not be exactly what you want, but it is the first thing that comes to my mind. You can research almost any make model or year car.

Sounds like you want some sort of a modern version of aircraft recognition cards-for cars. I'll look around.

I appreciate it guys and cyclic you hit the nail on the head. The more of these guys we capture/kill the better. It's amazing just how evil people can be. They don't care who they hurt. They've even used small children as forced suicide bombs.
