Should I keep my car "Stock" or "Not"?
I have a 74 T-Top with a new 350 motor, the rear has a 80-82 tail, chambered exhaust, and now I want to install a Centrifugal advance curve kit, is everything I'm doing lowering the value of the car?

RE: Should I keep my car "Stock" or "Not"?
I think it's up to you. Some cars are so complete it seems blasphemous to modify them but others are modified already. I have an old '65 Galaxy 500 no post fastback 390 4speed car that is absolutely factory complete and it would be a shame to modify it. on the other hand I have a '73 stingray that was modified by a previous owner so it would be very costly to make it original again...so I'm not. Like I said it is up to you.
What ever you do just don't crush them. now that is blasphemous. Cheers |

I wouln't worry about the value dropping. Like blueshark said if it's original don't mess with it. If it's been changed what the heck.
If you have insurance on it and I am sure you do and it gets hit e after you modify it you will still get what you have it insured for. Life is to short not to have any fun. |

I basicly got my '80 from an impound yard. Not original engine with it though. Suspention was shot, interior too. She needed everything.
I could have gone for original, or build MY car. I chose the latter. ;) Question really is,....what do YOU want to do to 'er? Original.... or...... Extra Crispy? [sm=shades.gif] |

'and now I want to install a Centrifugal advance curve kit'
I think youve answered your own question. i say go for what you want, they made them to be driven. |

Sounds like it's already been modded a little with the different tail, and a new motor, so you might as well keep going. If it's not a matching motor,I thinkyou'll increase the value by "rodding" it out a little.
The value on the plastic bumper cars has not gone up a whole lot, so your prolly not hurting any "collector" value. |
