Valve Cover Restoration

Group - I have an original set of valve covers for my 69. I need them restored - anyone have any recommendations?

Welcome to the forums. You have a number of options. Steel covers can be chromed, painted, powder coated,(that wasn`t used in 69 I believe, I could be wrong) or if aluminum covers that can be polished and or painted. Lots of choises. Depends on how original you would like to get.

thanks - mine are the aluminum ones - like to get closer to original look. Off a 350/350 4 spd car.

I always liked the aluminum ones, you could always get a good seal on the cover gaskets over using the steel type. They do look good when polished!

Welcome to the forum. I had mine polished and a good polisher can make them look like chrome. Of course you have to keep them up with occasional polishing and waxing.
