Hey Guys, could someone send me a picture of the wiper arms on their 1973? As you can see mine is somewhat not connected right and is just flapping around. I bought this car about 6 months ago and I’m working on it. Thanks in advance. |
Welcome to the forum. Not sure what year started it but I know the '73s have what is referred to as wet arm wipers. In other words, the washer fluid comes out of a nozzle on the wiper arm. It appears in your picture that you have a hold of the pipe that is connected to the washer hose. I've attached some pictures that show how the piping is attached to the wiper arm.

Thanks very much Sir. This helps a lot. I am new to the forum. I bought the car about 6 months ago so I’m working other things as well.
Working on the lights currently. |
Welcome, I have never liked the wiper driven pumps, If i had one I pulled the wires and ran them to an electric pump motor that I have drilled into the bottom of the washer reservoir. You can use as much window juice as needed the wiper motor pump runs through a full cycle every time and uses a lot of juice. To clean the wiper arm metal spray nozzle I found gas torch tip cleaners worked the best, not very expensive either..
