89 running good, thank you!!!
Thanks to the forum and its members' knowledge I was able to fix a few issues on my 89 convertible.
The car was running very rough with loopy idle after warm up. I removed the TB and plenum and found a bad TB gasket, a mouse chewed vacuum line to the EGR valve and bad injectors. The previous owner had the car in storage for a while and some unwanted guests decided to move in under the plenum. I never fixed a mouse damaged car before! For a very resonable amount money and some fun time spend under the hood I replaced: EGR sensor, O2 sensor, EGR valve, all 8 injectors, several gaskets and fixed the vacuum leaks. The car runs great, steady idle, no more code 32and the fuel economy improved a lot. Thank you for sharing your knowledgeguys, your are great. Keep up with the good work. Time to enjoy the ride and a cold one! |
