90 headlight wiring
 

[8D]hey, i bought a 90 model coupe, and for some reason the headlight wiring had been cut. the headlights have 3 wires each coming from them, but there's only two cut wires anywhere around that would go to them, they are green and gray on one side, and green w/stripe and gray w/stripe. can anyone tell me what color the other wire should be on each side, and where would it be by any chance? also, where is the isolation relay located? thanks for any help!!

hi, im looking in a 1994 electrical corvette shop manual should be the same for a 1990,green wire goes to high beam....tan goes to low beam... and ther should be a black for ground......the relay box should be on the driver side front fender well, open hood and look down by front tire behind fener well.should be a black box,,,attached to the fender well. if you have no groun wire you will have vo light, you can ground to the frame

HAY BERT, RH ACTUATOR MOTOR.PIN A GRAY TO RED TO ISOLATION RELAY......PIN C DK GREEN TO DK GRN/WHT TO PINB ON RH ACTUATOR RELAY........PIN B WHITE TO WHT/BLK TO PIN A......TO RH ACTUATOR RELAY.........PIN C ON RH ACTUATOR RELAY BLK...GROUND.....THEN ON RH ACTUATOR RELAY PIN B YELLOW RUNS TO ISOLATION RELAY TO MAIN LIGHT SWITCH TO LH ACTUATOR RELAY,THE ON RH ACT RELAYPIN A RED RUNS TO FUSIBLE LINK TO FUSE PANEL AND STARTER. HOT AT ALL TIMES.




LH ACTUATOR MOTOR PIN B...WHT TO PIN A ON LH ACT RELAY........PINC DK GREEN TO PIN B ON LH ACT RELAY.............PIN A GRAY RUNS TO ISOLATION RELAY AND TO MAIN LIGHT SWITCH THEN RUNS INTO BRN/WHT OUT OF LIGHT SWITCH............LH ACT RELAY BLACK GROUND.......RED TO FUSEIBLE LINK.......THAT IS IT

hey corvette king, thanks for the info! It will be very helpful. Could you tell me where both actuator relays are located, and also where the isolation relay is at? Also, on the left side you said pinA gray goes to the isolation realy, do you know what color wire this would be? Thanks again for any help! I am a first time vette owner! Thanks again!

thanks again for all the help corvette king! i finally realized my car has an actuator module, while my front cap has the older style 3-wire light motors. i think i'll go by the diagram you sent me and add two actuator relays and an isolator relay.

Sorry it took me so long with this update. I bought the three headlight relays for an 87 model, mounted them where my headlight module was, and now my headlights work great! Thanks for all the help!
