another way stupid question ( targa roof removal )
 

just bought a 85 C4, love the car, however am clue less as to how some things work.
the glass targo appears to be loose on the drivers side pass side is tight, how exactly do you remove the glass roof? i saw a star bolt in roof where it attaches, does that remove it? i dunno, gotta get it to stop leaking. do need some new weatherstrip also, sigh. thanks for the advice!

Look above each sun visor for a Torx bolt and above the seats headrest for two more torx bolts. Loosen all four and carfully remove the roof lifting the front first. Tip; loosen while pushing in lightly. When you feel the thread "click" the bolt is loose. If you continue to turn the bolt it will come out completely and you take the chance of loosing the bolts. If you only loosen them as described they will stay in the roof.

thanks alot for the help, thats what i had figured but i wanted to be sure before i started turning screws. all ive ever owned is 60' muscle cars, a few corvairs and my 79 jaguar xj6 with an lt4 engine. im generally pretty car capable, but have felt it better to ask before making an asumption
