blower motor prob.
 
1986, weird things happen. blower motor quits(sort of) with key on engine off, blower motor will not run, but when brake is applies blower starts running, also with key on and blower motor running when engine is started blower motor quits. HELP?

I assume your talking about the radiator cooling fan??

No not the fan blower motor, the heater/ac blower motor

sounds like a short some were in the blower motor wiring.give me a day and i will scan the blower wiring diagram and send it to you.:D

Check your ground on the blower motor housing itself. Loose grounds tend to make it act like your describing. Does it do it on all speeds or just on high? If yours does it on all speeds and the ground is tight, the blower motor is probably bad, as you might have wore out bushings in the motor or brushes. [8D]

GREAT NEWS, after many many hours of running down wires and all the dash out, I fixed the problem! A/C control module was not sending message to blower motor, and if it sounds bad it got worse, the price for a new A/C control module is exactly what it sounds like. expensive

Oh, you did not state you had Auto Climate Control. Yeah, blower modules go out frequently, mostly the switching transistor in the module. [8D]
