Bumper Upgrades

I have an 86 and love it. However i like the body style of the 91-96. I know i can buy kits to upgrade my body style. But how would that affect the price of my car? Would upgrading decrease its value because it is not original? Or is it just more of a personal preference?

What is your '86 really worth? In other words, do whatever you want to it as long as it makes you happy....unless it is mint and has really low miles.;)

Hello,my friend.Unless your '86 is pristine and you want to keep it in original condition,I say,GO FOR IT!!! You can go to Mid-America(www.mamotorworks.com),Eckler's,Corvette America,Zip Products, shop around and you'll find all you'll need.Good luck and let me know what you decide. Joe.

Its your car....Do as you please! Just a note: I like the 91 above style myself more than the stock look on my 86.[&:]

I agree. Go with what you want. When I bought my 90 Roadster it had a newer bumper on it. Although I didn't know it when I bought it and learned later that it was a 91 or newer bumper, I liked the looks. Unless your looking for an award winnner do what you want to it and enjoy. End result, you still have a vette and like me "I'M LIVING MY DREAM".
