Finding option codes.
 

I just bought a 93 vette, still waiting for delivery. Anyway my new car is missing the center console armrest door. I just got a new door to put on the car when I get it and noticed the tag that lists options is on this door. My question is, is there another copy of this tag anyplace else on the car or can I find this information maybe through Chevy with the VIN number?

VIN can tell u alot, but some it can't. Like paint and interior color codes, brake system and others.

Sometimes an RPO sheet is under the left rear storage bin also or If you want a build sheet, contact the Nation Corvette Museum at http://www.corvettemuseum.com/.

Thanks for the help guys. I will be sure to check the storage bin when I get the car. It looks like the corvette museum can also get a copy of the original window sticker, I may have to get one of these just for the fun of it. It looks like the dealerships can also get some of this stuff and from what I hear it’s free from them, the one I contacted seems to be having trouble getting it though so I will have to try another one. While I am waiting for some of this stuff could anyone tell me what the color code is for a 40th anniversary ruby red?

The option code is RPO Z25 - color code is 68.

Back when I owned my ZR-1, about 1999ish, Sonne Kilgo was doing repro build sheets and window stickers. It's been so
long, I can't remember if he was at GM or at the NCM. The number I have is 6 years old and I just tried to call it, and got
a FAX machine. I have no idea if it's still Sonne's number or not!

Right now the best chance at getting the RPO codes is through the NCM (Nat'l Corvette Museum). That's where I'd start.
Also you can try GM. They save the computer data for vehicles for about 10 years or so from what I understand. So get
it quick before they purge the data! I'd write down the VIN, and drive to a local Chevy dealership, and ask someone at
the parts counter if they can get you a SPID printed up. (Service Parts ID label that goes under your center console lid).
They may even be able to print out some basic option info using your VIN if you're lucky.
