heat
Sooo, I just got the vette back on the road after it winter nap. When I put it into hibernation the heat worked and the car ran at about 185 degrres. Day one back on the road, the heat dose'nt work and it's running about 200 degrees. What do ya think????

RE: heat
Make sure your coolant is full first. If it is then feel your radiator hoses and see if they're close to the same temp. If not you may need a new thermostat. Check those two things before going any farther. They're the easiest to check.

RE: heat
Is the passenger floor area wet and do the windows fog up. If so then its the heater core. P.I.T.A. to replace.

RE: heat
Check your heater control valve to see if you have vacuum to it with the heater on.

RE: heat
just in case it might help someone else.....I had to back flush the system. Something over the winter apparently found a home in my heater core. The back flush took care of the problem.....yeah!

RE: heat
Common prob. Heater hoses and heater core can get stopped up with rust, corrision. Feeling heater hoses on a warmed up engine will be the tattletale.
