help with new seats

Help!!! I have ordered new seats for my 1994 vette, the sales person basically told me they just fit in the seat pan? Is this going to be as easy at it was told to Me?[sm=bangbang.gif] Corvette America was the company.
Thanks
Dale.

RE: help with new seats

Did the guy tell you the seats came w/ the seat tracks that bolt to the pan or did they need to be transfered from the old to the new? Most likely your not going have any problems W/ the application.

I've had mine out, but didn't look at how the seats bolt to the frame.

I DID pull the covers from the foam, and they weren't glued, like all the after-marketers say of the late model sport-seat c4's...

RE: help with new seats

At every stage of dealing with Corvette seats, the operation was really quite simple and straight-forward (barring putting leather covers on foam, which i've never actually done).

Your post is a little vague, here's why. I'm assuming you've purchased 4 seat sections; 2 bottoms and 2 backs. Leather covering the foam. If this is the case, then the sales person is correct in his/her simplifying the solution. Indeed the seats clip right into the seat frame.

If you are saying that you've purchased the entire seat frame AND cushions, then that is a bit different. You'd have to take out the old seats first but unclipping the leather cushions and then using a socket wrench to unbolt the seatframes (which are bolted to the floor with 4 bolts each).

If those 4 bolts on the floor are rusted you are in for a hell of a wrestling match.

Good luck.

Thanks for the help, I have ordered the 4 seat sections already covered to fit in the seat pan.
Thanks for the reply
Dale
