highflow cat converters

Will changing stock cat. converters with highflow ones help? Will this help with increased horsepower, or help take a couple of hundred dollars out of my wallet.

I have had some high flow cat converters put on my 1994 vette, I can tell a big difference in the accleration. I am glad I did this
