How to determine what wheel offset I have?
 

I went to have the meats rotated yesterday, and the tire guy tells me that I have 3 of one kind of wheel, and one with a larger offset.

Any idea how to tell what both offsets are? I'd like to get a wheel to match the 3, and sell the 4th one that is larger. If I'm gonna sell it I'd like to tell potential buyers what it's offset is.

Tire guy said it's near impossible to tell what a wheel's offset is whichI gotta believe is[sm=bs.gif]

I cracked a rim last year and needed to replace it. I found onmy '94, that the rims are all stamped on the inside. Your fronts should be smaller, depending on year (I think like 92-96), than the rears. I was very happy with the rim and price I got from Vette2Vette.com.

There must be a formula out there somewhere. In talking with our wheel suppliers, the recommendation was to go with the back-space measurement (BSM). Lay a straight edge across the back of the wheel from lip to lip, and measure to the back of the flat surface that mates to the hub.Our wheel catalogues give both BSM and offset measurements. Given the wheel is the same width and design, this should work. Does one wheel stick out further or is it tucked in further than the other three?

Indeed....one wheel extends slightly beyond the fender flare....the others don't. Never noticed until this tire rotation.
