Instrument cluster replacement...
I have a 1994 Coupe with 78,000 miles. Recently the odometer has been jumping miles, about every 40 miles it will jump ahead 20 on it's own. Would this be a problem in the odometer itself or somewhere else? I have ruled out the speed sensor because the speedo is right and the odometer counts correctly when not jumping miles. Also, my trip odo counts by .2 instead of .1 constantly showing double. I have a way to get another instrument cluster to try, will I have to go to the dealer to program my mileage into the new odometer? Any info would be appreciated....
Thanks, Chad |

Maybe somebody was playing with your odometer (rollback) before you bought the car?
