Interior colors and sport seats.
 

I want to replace the seat covers on my 86 vette. My problem is that I'm not sure exactly which color I have. It's not a light grey, but appears to be a darker grey. Is that the Charcoal color? I also have the sport seats, but none of the buttons are working. Considering how expensive all of the buttons would be to replace, should I just remove the buttons and use the standard seat covers? The seats are plenty comfortable to me the way they are, and I'm not keen on having a bunch of buttons that are not working. I really don't care if they are not leather either, so long as they look good and don't have cracks, rips, and split seams like the ones that I now have.
Any opinions?

Are you sure the buttons are the problem? I'd check w/ an ohmmeter to see.

Can't help w/ the color issue. Some vendors will send a sample swatch.

All but one switch is frozen up. One push button is also frozen up. Another button is broken off. One of the tubes is broken off of the passenger switch assy. I don't think that an ohm meter would do much good at this point. I'd love to see them working, but I think it is a lost cause. I do appreciate the advice tho.
