a newbie I want to get this correct. Are these called door lock pillar trim?

Welcome to the forum.

Possibly but there might also be some missing trim pieces. Check w/ some of the aftermarket Corvette suppliers to see if they have anything on that. Also you could have a Chevy parts dept. look it up. They have good pictures on their computer.
