L98 Fuel pressure?

What is the normal fuel pressure for a 1990 L98 engine. I have conflicting specs from different sources and I'm not sure what is the correct PSI. I checked it with my new gauge and it reads 34lbs. The engine surges at low or idle speeds when hot.

38-45? average 41. Thats what it is on my '87 L98
