lumbar pumps

Hello all

I wrote in a while ago about an A/C issue I'm still working on with out success, YET.
I have a 93 with climate control that is acting up. On A/C settings it will blow out warm air but if left on auto it will blow ice cold--out the defrost.I really dont need the air going to the windshield, it just fogs things up. Any more ideas from any one out there?

I also have another delema. While recovering my sport seats I thought I wolud replace the bladers for lumbar support. With that done I looked into why the pumps wouldn't pump air. I am a former ASE master mechanic turned helicopter pilot, so I have a need to tear things apart and fix them instead of replacing them. I opened up the pumps and found that the diafram had deteriated. I found a 50.00 dollar fix in the formof a "pump repair kit",that seemed a little steep for a diafram. So after experimenting with various products, I manufactured a diafram from an old water bed liner. IT DOES WORK. However I am sure this will not last. I searched for a compatible accelerator pump with no luck. Anybody have a better idea? I am not spending 50 bucks for a .35 cent diafram. Maybe I am just a little cheap.

Take a gander at this...........

Take a look under the pass/side fuel rail cover. There is a vacumn valve that maybe faulty.

I think the a/c system goes to default ( air directed to defrost)when you have vacumn problems.
