MAF Main Power Relay

Please to anyone out there with an 86.... I have had MAF problems and had an ASE mechanic look at my car. In the process he changed the pigtails / plugs that go into both MAF relays (power and burnoff). Needless to say he didn't do it correctly... He put on the wrong pigtails and relays.Thankfully I kept the original pigtails!!! The burnoff relay pigtail had all colored wires connected and I was able to rewireand connect to propper pins in plug. Burnoff relay seems to be working fine now.

Big question here.....

Can anyone help me with the main power relay. I need to know what color wire goes to what pin (ie: a,b,c,d,e). I believe one is doubled.

I really appreciate if anyone can help here, if you can send a picture ofBOTH relay plugsshowing the wire orientation to the pinsthat would be even better.

Thanks!

RE: MAF Main Power Relay

Hi Chris,

I have a mid year '86. I'm not sure where the relays are but if you point me in the right direction I'll try to help. Are they anywhere near the MAF? On the firewall?

Jerry

Hey sorry my bad.... Didn't finish. LOL

They are behind the battery on the firewall. It is a time consuming process... I appreciate your help

Register and send a PM to 'Agent86', in digitalcorvettes. He has uploaded tons from his '86 shop manual.

Search his posts also; I put $$$ on he has posted wiring diagram for MAF.
