Need advice for my '87 convertible
Just got an estimate for work needed on my '87 convertible from a Chevy dealership which seems high ... for u joints, half shaft joints, serpentine belt and a fuel system cleaning. The engine and body are in very good condition. The car is in Pembroke Pines, FL.
Anybody know a good mechanic in the area or is anyone interested in buying? |

RE: Need advice for my '87 convertible
You didn't say how much they were charging. a belt ought to be somewhere around a half hour labor, and maybe 60 or so for the belt. ujoints shouldn't be that high, and those axles even though its a vette should be 140 or so each + labor. In any case, a dealer still uses flat rate for labor, but maybe you should tske the estimate to another shop or 2 to see
