New Motor, Car Starts but shuts off
Hello All,
I am really scratching my head on this one. I just rebuilt my LT-1 from top to bottom. (See specs below) I dont have the full exhaust on yet and only have headers on. I went to start it for the first time and it started right up but quickly shut down (Loud as hell but sweet) I have already spent over $10,000 on this motor and it doesnt run. Please help me. Have you checked to see if you are losing spark or fuel? or injector pulse?

Did the security light stay on when it sarted? you might have a passkey problem unrelated to the new motor.

A fail-safe???
Either the oil pressure is not 'registering' by the ECM, as the motor starts, and the spark kills, or the fuel pump kills. OR, the ECM isn't telling the fuel pump to re-start (after the initial 2-second priming and shut-off). I think mech259 could tell you where to check these... |
