Outside Window Seal
Well folks I'm about to try and replace both of my side outside window seals. the old ones are dried and cracked. The instructions with the seals say to take off the inside panel then drill out the rivet on each end, then, sorta wrestle the old trim off. Any thoughts or hints? Thanks.

I am in the same boat, except I am replacing all the weatherstripping on the windshield and doors. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

RE: Outside Window Seal
Are you referring to the outside wiper seals on the door? If so, you have to pull the inner door panels and loosen the retainers that push the window out to gain access to the wetherstrips.

RE: Outside Window Seal
Mech, they are the seal that runs along the top of the door. There is a inside seal that is at the top of the door and the outside seal which is the dry rotted and cracked one. Looks like a rivet on each end of the seal with several clips along the lenght. Together they keep the window tight and crap going into the door panel. Thanks.

RE: Outside Window Seal
That's the ones I was referring to. Good luck. Not that hard to change.

RE: Outside Window Seal
be careful .the clips snap off very easy, and if they break off the striping will be curvy not straight,so be careful, then you will have to drill and pop rivet to make straight;)
