PLz water pump help
 

Changing water pump on 92 vette.

Have three bolts on each side taken out. The water pump itself just will not come off. Have tried at least 2 solid hours of muscle fuking it. prying it. shaking it. i can verify both ends are loose from the block and can see half an inch of shaft its connected to but it just will not come off.

Anyone run into this issue and have a solution?

Do you have a factory service manual or an after market manual? if not you might be able to find one on Google. I just changed mine but it's an 87 and if you have a shaft going into the block they are different. If you are seeing a shaft there must be vanes inside the block. Do you see any way to remove the WP pulley from the front of the shaft? Only two things I can suggest is that the vanes stay in the block and the WP comes off the shaft, or the vanes are just a slight bit smaller than the opening in the block and require precise alignment to come out. Anything else sounds bad, like the shaft or the vanes are bent and won't come out until cut out. Good luck
