Radio

I have accuired 93 coupe, the radio has a CD and a Cassette stuck in the radio will not eject either one. The radio was playing fine before my son tried to play the CD. When it would not play or eject he tried to play the cassette. Now nothing plays & Nothing will eject. If I need to pull the radio I need some Idea on how to get to it.

RE: Radio

It is relatively easy to get the radio out of your corvette.

Remove the center console. Be careful to remove all the screws. Do not force the console but be gentle. Some screws are hidden under the felt liner. Removing the center console totlally is not required. This is just to get access to the radio bezel. After you have successfully done that, remove the radio bezel. Some snap out and some have screws or both. Remove the 4- radio mounting screws, slide the radio toward you and unhook the connector from the back of the radio. Make sure when you replace the radio that you align the radio with the alignment stud at the rear of the radio. You can have the radio repaired. There are many radio repair service centers that deal with covette radios on the internet. Or just a good reliable local repair center can help. Most radio repairs are around $125-$150.

Hope this helps!
