s**t... if my car didnt rattle, id have to break something in it just so it would start rattling again so it would feel normal. A day without rattles in my car is like a day without a hamburger for lunch. It just dont happen too often. As for the bumps, anytime i hit a bump, my car feels and sounds like its about to fall apart... Kinda embarassing when you have other people in the car. But hey, thats the price you pay for the style and class of the car you drive.

Yup. This aint your grandma's crown vic. I dont think there is any c4 that doesnt rattle.

If you can hear the rattles, it means your radio isnt up enough or you dont have a loud enough exhaust. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I hear ya!! I found that many can be found and cured. I had one in the dash. Drove me nuts. Ended up being the intrument cluster. I gave the cover a little extra bend and it's gone. Another common one for me anyways is the hood guide pins need to be lubed or they sqeak. Sounds like it's in the dash but it's undr the hood. As for the rest, Stevie Ray and Bose make em go away!!

It really shouldn't rattle...It can be a sign of a u-joint beginning to wear out. The rattles start creeping up on you and you don't even notice them until it starts to shake at certain speeds and gets progressively worse...u-joint.

There are some little felt pads that go on the windows, you could replace those to help stop the windows rattling.

Where does one get those felt pads? Ecklers?

Unbalanced and out of round tires could also cause unwanted vibrations.

just replaced the outside window stripping on the doors. Stpped the rattles. Those pads for the inside the door called window bumpers is available from mid america and probobly ecklers too. However a C4 is a sports car and rattles are an option that was specifically ordered from chevy. It's the personality of the car.

I guess I am lucky! My 92 actually has no rattles. Oops! Probably will regret saying that, as now will rattle like #$@!. And the roads here in Maryland are absolutely the worst I have ever driven on!

I have a 1993. Not much rattles. I think the prior owner fixed them all. I have velcro under the glove compartment to stop some of the squicks. I did have one that I thought was coming from the dash and could not find it. Until I felt the hood while closed and felt a wiggle. So I tightened the pegs that hold the hood down and the noise went away. I hope this helps.

I have a few on my '96 as well.Unfortunately, the Vette was never a solid paragon of build quality, but who cares, right? I love my car,and besides,my Borla cat-back and stereo make me forget about little rattles. It's just the most awesome car on the planet(not just mine,ALL Vettes!!).
