Stall Converter or lower gears

I have a 92 that I've put a few bolts ons but would like to get a little more from the bottom end, I was thinking of putting a stall converter in or going to a 3:43 gears. Any pros or cons and what are some of the problems.

Thanks JR

RE: Stall Converter or lower gears

Just a thought on stall converter or lower gears. Eitehr one are gonna launch you harder, so if you go that route make sure and check you driveline and rear suspension out. Not to familiar with the c4 suspension. But, when you all of a sudden are launching a lot harder, if something had gotten weak with age it is liable to go out. Not saying you got to drop a bunch of money, but just check bushings, u joints, the usual to make sure they are still good.

Thanks for the input.
I think I'm going to go with a TC with a 2000-2500 stall.
