I emailed him, and asked what the rear end ratiowas. He said a 44. I returned with "What's the ratio?", and gave examples. He picked the highest ratio that I said - 4:11.

200. With a 4:11.

Be careful,this could be a find.Few people are aware of the fact that in 1987 you could buy a C4 from the factory with no engine or drive train. Don't ask me why but it's a fact.It's the only time GM did this to the public.John Lingenfelter bought a few and I'm lucky enough to own one.Theoretically 200mph would have my mill turning around 6200rpm.

Funny he says it has a 427 but he list no pictures of the engine. Run away from this one fast. I think I would have cleaned it up before I tried to sell it. Look at the dirt and left over waxon it.

VROOOM, I also have a white over blue 87 Vette Convertible, with a Lingenfelter bottom end only, as I bought it in Ontario, Canada, and was owned bythe young son of an oilmanin Texas. His father stopped theconversion as he thought his son would be killed with the speed. This thing goes like a shot out of hell, and it is really nice to have the "speed-ability" when needed. It's my baby and it's well looked after. A really nice car to own.

Well, there is no roll cage I can see -- certainly not a full one as claimed. And 425 HP on the dyno (not sure if this is flywheel or at the wheels but it doesn't matter) will not drive a 'vette to 200 mph (takes right at 475 RWHP or thereabouts). Also it is difficult to know what to make of the 427 claim. Big blocks would not fit well in C4s, and while there are 427 cubic inch small block crate engines available today I don't know if they were available then.

I think this is mostly BS.

Your right. I was looking at the 6th picture and its the chrome reflecting on the car, but check out the 3rd pic. There is different exhaust on it than whats in the 6th pic.

I didn't see the exhaust tips. OR the invisible 5-point cage.:D

Seems like the front plate would have to be out for intake too...
