Turn signal flasher removal on a 91
 

Now I'm a reasonably smart individual (some might argue that after reading this post) and have worked on everything from British cars (why, oh why) to .... well, you get the idea.

What I cannot figure out is the location of the turn signal flasher on my 91 vert. I've got the Haynes cheapo (REAL manuals are ordered) and it tells me to remove the three screws from under the right side of the dash and locate the flasher next to the ECM.

Fine.

What three screws? Anyone?

TADA, as he answers his OWN question....

It's the carpeted panel under the steering wheel. The flasher is to the left of the steering column after removing this carpeted panel.

It's up there, trust me.

You won't believe it Mech.

I got out my amplified stethescope and went hunting for that puppy. I FOUND it. If you don't think finding it behind that carpeting wasn't a test of my stethescope.... well, trust me.

Anywhoo, the LEDs are installed and work peachy. I just used a electronic flasher instead of adding resistors here and there. Much easier.

And there you have it.

Don't ask me about changing #2 sparkplug on a 91 L98. What WERE they thinking?

Hmmmm, now that's interesting. On my car 8 wasn't bad.

Oh well, we all have our crosses to bear and #2 is mine.
