6speed. Why have a car like a vette if you can't choose your gear? Shifting is half the enjoyment

Because its the only type of tranny I could find when I bought my car locally.

Auto - wouldn't have it any other way. To me, Manualsucks in traffic, and traffic is always a problem in CA. I'd also go with a tiptronictransmission if possible.

I have an automatic.Still plenty of fun.My next Vette will be a six-speed for sure.

There are more automatics and convertiables than manuals and hardtops. Or is it the other way around with the hardtops....I know theres fewer sticks...

We specifically wanted an automatic. Ours is a warmed over 700R4 (shift kit and hardened internals), and it shifts like a madman.

My is a auto and has no trouble getting sideways when she hits 2nd, but shifts smooth at butter when just cruising along, love my car!!!

manual valve body in mine so when needed it shifts just like a stick:D

6 speed....Corvettes are suppose to be true sports cars...how many Porsches do you see with Sportomatcis. It bothers me that more Corvettes have autos than manuals. I wonder what the age/gender stats are for Corvettes?????

Six speed ? I have the 4+3 so that makes 7 gears I like to shift .
