02Z06 Electrical Problems ?

It seems that my (new to me) 29k mile 02 Z06 may have some electrical problems.

The Service ABS and Service Active Handling messages appear randomly on the info screen. It also says "Charge Fault" when I start it in the morning, but not every day and never in the afternoon when Im leaving work for lunch or for the day. The voltage gauge reads normal (13.5-14v) even when that "Charge Fault" message is displayed.

My fuel gauge is also giving me bad readings. The other night it read about 1/2 full. I left for work in the morning and it was alarmingly low. I added 16 gallons and it reads full again. After driving a while it reads where I would expect it to. I started it once today and it said it was totally full again. I turned the car off and back on and the gauge read what it should.

Any suggestions or ideas what may be causing this and how to fix it?

Thanks

Sounds like a ground problem to me if those instrument panel problems occur randomly like that. Check your body grounds, clean and tighten. Check out this thread on the grounds. Grounds

Thats what I was thinking too.

Where can I find a web page or document for locating the ground locations?

. . .The Service ABS and Service Active Handling messages appear randomly on the info screen . . .
I had this message randomly appear for a period of time after heavily modifying my 02 ZO6. It turned out is was a loose connection to one of the wires going to the electronic throttle (the connector on the passengers side of the throttle body) - apparently when the wire would momentarily lose contact, it would imbalance voltages enough to convince the engine computer for some reason that the active handling was messed up.
