Hi guys,
I just bought my 03. love it. geat to drive.
what do you guys think of the down loaders? I dont hammer on my car. Just looking to make it a bit more powerful to set it apart. would like 50 more hp. how would i get it? I am used to older muscle car motors. I would just increse cubes, comp, cam, make the heads and exhaust flow. I guess same with this. but not looking to get too complicated with all the electronics.
any info appreciated.
ps. i liked downloaders from bully dog on my disel truck. worked ok. hows the predator?
phil

You can probably get almost 50 HP with long tube headers, a good cold air intake and acouple of HP from a cat-back exhaust, along with a dyno tune. I have heard that the Predator's capabilities are somewhat limited, but I don't have first-hand experience with it.

If you look around on here...and other forums.....most people don't like off the shelf programmers.....LS1 Edit is the way to go from what I hear....don't get much....may even lose power with some of the programmers out there (Hypertech, Predator, etc).....If you have basic mods (CAI, headers, cat back, etc) you can do a mail order tune.....with heavy mods (heads, cam, etc) on a dyno is the way to go.....Lee Willis may chime in...but that is what I've heard. I had LG Motorsports in TX do my PCM.....since I have basic mods.....haven't been able to drive it much yet to see if I can tell a difference...since I've been fighting my EBCM. Was pretty easy to do....the PCM is behind the right front wheel attached to the frame. So that may be one option for you.
