AC Suggestions Needed
 
I'm new to this Corvette Forum, but not to Corvettes.
I just bought back a 2000 Z51 Coupe that I sold to a friend in 2008, after my family and I enjoyed the car for 6 years. I'm fixing it up and giving it to my son, for making me a proud father.
One of the issues I'm wrestling with is, the AC is cold on the passenger side, but hot on the drivers side.
It's a dual system. I set the driver side temp to 60° and set the passenger side control knob to 12 o'clock. I pulled the #27 fuse for 5 minutes, reset, and the AC blew cold air on both sides for 2-3 minutes, then reverted back to hot on the driver's side and cold on the passenger side. I did this 3 times with the same results. I've checked all the main grounds in the car and have a new battery.
The AC system is currently operating at 30 psi on the low side and 185 on the high.
Any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum. These figures are for R134a. The high side pressure seems a little low but it does depend upon ambient temperature. A rule of thumb I use is the high side should run about 2.2 to 2.5 times the ambient temp. And the low side should run about 35 psi to 45 psi at 75*F, 40 psi to 50 psi at 80*F, 45 psi to 55 psi at 85*F to 90*F, and 50 psi to 55 psi at 95*F and above. The output air temp. should be in the 40*F to 50*F range when charge is correct.

It sounds like you may have a blend door problem tho and I'm not familiar w/ the C5 system. Let us know what you find.

A undercharged system can present this condition. Could be a blend door problem,however the information supplied leads to and undercharged system.
suggestion would be to locate a reputable AC shop in your area and have them perform a system recovery/evacuation/ recharge utilizing the proper equipment. Would highly suggest not to visit one of the auto parts stores to purchase a ‘do it yourself’ kit and attempt to ‘top off’ the system. Get it done correctly and reduce possible headaches later.
The correct refrigerant charge is necessary for proper compressor lubrication as well as cooling performance.
Pressures are not a true indication of system charge levels....know exactly how much refrigerant is in the system is best...
