Clutch clicking noise?

I just got an '04 C5, took it to the dealer for a diagnostics check before I bought it and everything passed, but on Monday I started noticing a clicking noise when I press down on the clutch. It feels like it's coming from under the car and it only happens when I'm up shifting (I don't hear it when I down shift). Also, I sometimes hear it once I've shifted into gear and I release the clutch, but not always and only when shifting into second and third. Have any of you come across this? Any ideas on what it could be? Thought I'd check if this might be a serious issue here before taking it into the shop. Any help, suggestions or ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks everybody.

Konstantin

RE: Clutch clicking noise?

This isn't the type of thing one can diagnose well on a forum. I doubt it is anything serious but take it to a cshop if you are concerned about it. Since the car checked out well before you bought it and assuming it drives and shifts well, I wouldn't be terribly concerned.

RE: Clutch clicking noise?

My C5 was about 4 years old (20,000 miles) when the same noise started showing up. When at the dealership, I asked about it and the tech said it is normal and nothing to worry about.
