Exhaust Tips

I've got a '99 hardtop and I need to replace a couple of the chrome exhaust tips. One cracked through the tabs and fell off and there is one other that has one of its tabs cracked through and is going to come off next. The deisgn is poor and prone to cracking. Are there any aftermarket replacements available that are stronger?

Oh Yes. Try Ecklers, or why not put on an entire nice new cat-back exhaust (you get new tips with that, too).

I agree. If you have the extra cash you might want to consider a whole new exhaust system.

Just need new tips right now. When exhaust time comes I was thinking about a Banks twin turbo setup.

RE: Exhaust Tips

You're thinking about spendinga lot more than just an exhaust if you go with any twin Turbo system. And I didn't know Banks made a kit for the LS1 - last I saw they made them only for the LT series. Regardless, all the twin turbo kits I've seen, including the Banks kits for the LT series, give you everything back to the cat back -- they leave the X pipe and cat-back up to you not included in the kit, so you still have this same issue in front of you then: eventually you will need a good cat back.
