Headers/exhaust for 99 C%

Any opinions on a good set of headers/ exhaust systems? I've heard good things about the Borla exhaust, how about headers? Any prices on complete systems? Ease of installation? THanks in advance

RE: Headers/exhaust for 99 C%

Hey,

I just ordered a new setup of headers and Corsa mufflers/tips. They should be here in a week or two and I'll post details as it's going to get dyno tested/tuned after it's all in. Eastcoastvette.com is local to here and Todd's been racing for years and said the best setup that's he's run was with the Corsa because especially with the "touring" version of their mufflers it's quiet as stock in the normal range but at wide open throttle it sounds great. The headers claim 39 RWHP over stock and the Corsa mufflers might add another 5-10 easy to that. Here's the stuff I ordered on Friday:

97-04 C5 / Z06 Long Tube Coated Header with Random Tech Catalytic
Converters and X-Pipe
SKU: SF97R

97-04 C5 / Z06 Corvette Corsa Pro Series Muffler System - Quad Round Tips
SKU: 1411 (Touring version)

I also got some new shocks, sway bar, and a few cosmetic items but the last time I went to them and got the Vararam cold air intake, 3.42 rear end, and Hypertech unit he was right on with those recommendations. I have a 99 Auto Convertible so I needed something that isn't screaming loud in normal driving since the top is down most of the time, but I told him I wanted good performance gains if I was going to replace it all, can't wait for the stuff to come in, will keep you posted.
