Headlight stays up after turning the lights on!
 

Last night after driving my car I pulled in the garage and cut my lights off and the drivers light would not lower. I tried turning them on and off several times and no luck. So I take the boot off and lowered the light manually. I turned the lights on and it stuck again, tried this several times but still no worky. I have read about the gears stripping inside, but it just seems as if it isn't even trying to lower the light at all,althoughitworks flawlessly when raising it.I had my wife cut them offand I can't hear anything going on! Help please!

For starters, you can check the electrical connectors associated with the headlight motor. Disconnect them, make sure there is no corrosion, and reconnect them. I've seen that happen before, and all it took was to disconnect, and reconnect. Not saying thats your problem, but it's a good place to start.
