Headlights not popping up

Hey, has anyone had issues with headlights not popping up? Still lighting up, doesn't sound like the motor. Not sure where to start.

Welcome to the forum.
Is 12 volts getting to the headlight motors when you try to raise or lower them? If not then you need to go back and see where you're losing the 12 volt signal

Thank you for answering. Where do I look to see if 12 volts are getting to the headlight?

I would start by measuring the voltage at the connector at the headlight motor itself. You can do this with either a test light probe or a digital multimeter.

Hi, well, the headlight popped back up one day. It's been two weeks now, and when I shut them down there is a low rumble, growling sound after they go down. I don't know what's happening. Anyone had this happen and know what it's doing? Thanks

Now it sounds like the plastic gears need to be replaced by the available metal gears in the aftermarket.

I thought it might be more serious. Any recommendations on where to buy aftermarket parts? I haven't had very good luck getting good parts from carparts.com.
Thank you!

You will need to go to the Corvette aftermarket suppliers such as Corvette Central, Wilcox, Zip, etc. Try Googling Corvette headlight motor metal gears and see what you get.
