New-b question..

Hello all! Just picked up a Corvette and was wondering what PSI (for the tires) will make the car happy? It keeps beeping at me everytime I get in.

The correct pressures will be posted on a door jam, or in the owner's manual. If they aren't stock tires then you'll have to lay with it 'til it feels good. I have 275-35-18s on the front at 35 lbs and 345x18 drag radials on the rear at 27 lbs, but this is less than you run stock tires, I know.

I've got stock rims/tires and run 32psi. But with the advent of winter (I'm in Illinois) and the temps dropping the PSI will drop too. My 32 now starts out around 27 or as low as 25. Just have to play with the pressure more during cold weather.

...depends on the type of tires. If you have the runflat Goodyears, then make sure their pressure doesn't get much past 30 when hot. This means that the "cold" pressure will be higher during Winter months. My experience has been if I set the pressure at 30 while the tires are cold, the center part of the tread would wear out faster than the outside areas, indicating that the pressure is too high.

I am running the non-RF Falkens -- love them. I keep pressure at 32, but check it regulary, esp. in winter.
