should I buy or wait?

Ok guys, im on the market for a c5, and I found a perfect one with one major problem. Color. The car is white, with tan interior. I still think it looks good cuz its a vette, but white was my last choice, but im SURE it'd look fine. It is a 97 (is that year ok?) with 50,000 miles, at my close friends dealer, and he will sell it for under 15k. the car is FLAWLESS. what should i do?

That sounds like a good price, with only 50,000 miles

RE: should I buy or wait?

Less than a year ago I was in the same boat. I had been looking, and a dealer friend of mine found a perfect 98, pewter color, 60,000 miles, under 15K. It was not exactly what I was looking for. I bought the car! I LOVE THIS CAR!!! I had a case of guilt and doubt after I bought the car, then I did some checking. If I take care of the this car, I will always be able to get my money out of it, and probably more. My plan was since I don't have the cash to buy a 2007 out right, Iwould use this 98 as a stepping stone,The plane was toupgrade in the next year or so, until I am in a new Vette. However I am not so sure now, I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!

So I guess what I am trying to say in a long winded way is. buy the car it is a great deal, you can always use it as a stepping stone to a diffrent car (get your money out of it) and you might just fall in love with it.

BUY THE DAMN CAR

My vote was to by the car with this caveat: a) make sure that it's in sound condition and b) make sure that you can get ~90% of your money back if you sell it in the next 6 months(excluding taxes of course) . In other words do some research on the value of the car (kbb.com, edmunds.com, local car places/forsale magazines.com, etc).

Then get in and drive. I think that once you start driving it, you're going to forget about what color it is.

Like Kimber, I had buyers remorse right after I got mine. Did I pay too much, is it the right color, could i have gotten a newer one for a similar price, etc. But that always happens to me. Now, I think about what a blast this car is to drive; end of story.

I have a white vette and although white wasn't my first choice I still think it looks awesome. Its as bad to keep clean as black mind you - lol. Just look at the votes, you have no choice! :D
